He is a member of the Board of Directors of YPF S.A. since July 2024.
Experience
Between 1974 and 1976, he worked as a lawyer in the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice and between 1976 and 1985 as Director of the Instituto Nacional de Crédito Educativo (education financing). Between 1970 and 1973, he served as Private Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and as Councilman of the Federal Capital between 1985 and 1993.
In 1994, he was appointed Undersecretary of the Inspección General de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires -IGJ- (Argentine Superintendency of Corporations). He was elected national deputy between 1997 and 2000. He was President of the Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Bank of the Province of Buenos Aires) and he was Argentina's representative before the Inter-American Development Bank.
Mr. Francos served as Interior Minister of the Argentine Republic from December 10, 2023 to May 27, 2024. He was appointed Argentina´s new Cabinet chief on June 3, 2024.
Studies
He holds a law degree from the Universidad del Salvador de Buenos Aires.
